6 Affiliate marketing tips to Boost Your Affiliate Commission Overnight
So you have taken those first steps, built your website, placed your online promotion, maybe even made a few sales - congratulations! What - you aren’t making a fortune yet?
Well as stated in my other articles, affiliate marketing is not easy money, you do have to work at it - but here are some more affiliate marketing tips on how to boost your affiliate program commissions overnight.
1.You have taken my advice and built your website on a topic that interests you, you have selected the programs you wish to promote, but take a closer look at what choices you have. When it comes to promoting item A you get a 20% cut of the $100 price tag - an easy $20, lovely - but did you also know your affiliate program has a $50 product B that it pays its affiliates 50% to market? Obviously in this case selling the cheaper item will reap you a larger reward
Remember to always promote products that fit in with your target audience and are of high quality, but try and choose those who offer a generous commission structure as you will be surprised how quickly those few extra dollar amounts add up
2. Offer your visitors something for free.
Reports and e-books on your topic will distinguish yourself from the other affiliates.
In the reports, provide some valuable information for free. If possible, add some recommendations about the products. Well written e-books and reports get you credibility. Your potential customers will see that in you and they will be enticed to try out what you are offering.
3.Collect and save the email addresses of those who download your free e-books. You can make follow-ups on these contacts to remind them of what your site offers and tempt them to make a purchase from you; after all it is a known fact that people seldom make a purchase first time.
4. Make your website something your visitors will bookmark and return to. A “sticky” site is one that your visitors hang around on for a while and return to.
Your motivation is to build a connection with that visitor, your own content and promotions will change over time so when they return often you have the opportunity to earn an ongoing commission instead of a one-time sale only.
5. Publish an online newsletter, blog or E-zine. Make your customers feel a connection with you and your website, give them what they want, information and entertainment - you will always find it is easy to sell to someone who you have developed a relationship based on trust with.
6. If you are already successful with a particular promotion, you should try and approach the merchant and negotiate a percentage commission for your sales.
If you are making money from them you are also making money for them so they might be flexible with their arrangements with a successful affiliate.
If the merchant is smart, they would likely grant your request rather than lose a valuable asset.
Keep in mind that raising your commission is a no-risk investment to your merchant, they don’t pay unless you sell; so do not be shy about requesting for addition in your commissions but be reasonable about it.
